That adapter definitely delivers 4K 60Hz from these laptops, although only after messing around with SwitchResX per the.

So it is certainly not 'plug and play' as advertised, at least when used with this laptop. This is one of the occasions that if you are Mac user, you are own your own now. This did not give 4K at 60Hz when I used it with my 2015 MacBook Pro (from work) and a Sony 4K TV.

Windows users probably is supported with that configuration in their driver, and you just need to switch the configuration.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge about graphic driver to tweaking this.Īnd I just come back from a surgery, which requires me to lay rest and avoid having a sit down position, which implies I won't be working with this monitor on my desk.

So at this point, the process is pretty much defining the configuration that the Graphic card can produce *and* the TV can accept. I notice much difference configuration for 24Hz and 30Hz. The Dell UP2414Q, a 24' 3840 x 2160 display, is now properly. And here is the official setting that is support for the monitor. With 10.9.3 Apple has not only broadly increased support for 4K displays, but also enabled 60Hz output to 4K displays on more systems. Some people report that just change the Vertical rate to 60 Hz, and it "just work" for them. It does cost money, but has 10 days trial. But if you are just trying to test thing around, SwitchResX is safer and easier to fallback. You can also do that with your bash if you really know what you are doing. So far I have not been able to make it work at 4k (3840x2160) at 60hz, the 60hz option just isnt available in the System Preferences. The only way I can find to get around it is using SwichResX to manually change resolution and refresh rate. I just purchased the new MacBook 12' 1.2 Ghz and Im trying to make it work with a Dell P2715Q. With the Macbook Pro, you are limited on whatever the System decide to give you. The main problem that I have is very likely come from the OS. They could possibly over-evaluate their adaptor. However, there is no proof posted from them.

While taking the benefits from full Retina for graphics or movie cutting, automatically change to HD-TV resolution when starting DVD Player or the usual beamer resolution when opening Powerpoint. Some people on Amazon site reviews it can is able to convert 4:4:4 60. Current version is 4.11.3 With SwitchResX it is totally easy to match your screen resolution to the best for any app or use. The adaptor CAC-1107: It can do 4:2:0 60 or even 4:2:2 60, reported at their own website. Press Ok Close SwitchResX and save when prompted. Adjust the settings to match the appropriate PNG provided in this gist. Add a new custom resolution be clicking the + symbol at the bottom of the window. The TV (Vizio D40u-D1) : according to multiple source, and also from the TV can do It is reported to the do 4:2:2 60, and 4:4:4 30 hz. After launching SwitchResX, select the external monitor from the list on the left. Installed SwitchResX and tried forcing 4K60Hz, yet it says it was a possibly invalid configuration that it cannot handle. But I will post what I found in case it could do any help.

No luck.Īnyone found a solution? Is BMD aware of the problem? Should I just get a Mini Converter UpDownCross HD? That would be just a pity because I think it might just be a firmware bug in the Atem, and a Mini Converter would just be a hassle in the terms of one wall plug less, but if there is no other solution.Hey thanks, every thing mentions above is true.įor short, I still not able to get on my Mac.

Tried my luck with SwitchResX trying various resolutions, tried to set the resolution via Atem Software Control instead of Automatic I've tried to set a resolution and to match it via SwitchResX. Tried to use an HDMI splitter - the external monitor has no problem, while the Atem still shows this flickering. If I attach the MBA to port 2, 3, 4, the image is shown, but it "flickers" (that is, it can be seen, but for a very short time, it goes black and then it is shown again). It has weird UI, but it works My display is now recognised as 'SwitchResX4 LG Whatever' and does in fact. On my Philips 328P6V monitor, using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable with my MacBook Pro (15 inch model from 2019 with Radeon Pro 560X), I first was stuck at email protected. If I attach it to the port 1 of the Atem Mini, I can see the image for 1 second, then it goes black (reattaching it again continues to behave in this way). Apple - 2018 MacBook Pro + LG 4k display no 60hz. If I attach it to an external monitor, no problem. I have an USB-C adapter with HDMI output attached to the MBA. One interesting caveat with the HDMI port, it is limited to 2.0 instead.

Just got a new MacBook Air (Apple silicon), and I am trying to use it with my Atem Mini Pro ISO. The M1 Pro supports up to 2 6K displays at 60Hz and the M1 Max offers support for 3 6K 60Hz displays plus 1 4K 60Hz display.
